Green Fruit Smoothie

Simple green smoothie

I made this fruit smoothie with my son few days ago, and we both enjoying sipping it on a sunny afternoon. He just loves pouring and measuring, so after chopping the fruit, I let him measure the amount and dump it in the blender.

The smoothie was a little sour because we used plain yogurt. We all love and use it in our house. Try it first before you assume that you or your kids won’t like it. If you need your smoothie to be more sweet, pour in about 1/2 teaspoon of honey or 100% pure maple syrup per each cup. Or you can start with vanilla yogurt or plain Greek yogurt next time since they are typically not as sour.

I sprinkled crushed mint on mine to make it a bit more sophisticated.

Nour’s guidance and expertise was the key to dramatically halting our son’s [Crohn’s] disease progression! His pediatric gastroenterologist is now in agreement of our choice to treat solely with diet and supplements. All his labs have improved and his inflammatory markers are so low they are practically nonexistent.

Before working with Nour, I experienced intestinal pain off and on for for 54 years with minimal success on medications. I have benefited 100% from Nour’s program as I am now pain free!

A lot of time and money was wasted on foods that I thought would help my digestive struggles [diarrhea, bloating, hunger], but in fact I was making it worse. The main benefit is getting a handle on what negatively affects my digestive symptom. Doing a total 180 to my eating habits has been pretty amazing.

  1. Fun smoothies idea and your son is adorable! My kids make smoothies practically everyday with their favorites being chocolate banana or strawberry banana orange. Have a great day!

  2. You son is so cute. I like the choice of green fruits, not your typical smoothie fruits. Mint makes everything better. I saw your comment on Andy’s post- how great was that?

Thanks Tiffany. Well, depends on the fruit you start with, it might be a little sour. You might like it that way too!
