LET ME

help you…

Live without acid reflux, heartburn, stomach pain, gas and bloating, diarrhea, constipation, IBS, SIBO, LPR, food sensitivities, histamine intolerance, sinus issues, fatigue, brain fog, headaches, muscle and joint pain, eczema, rosacea, and autoimmune disease flare-ups.
Your plan will be 100% customized to your needs. You will have clarity and confidence about what to eat and how to repair your gut to restore your health and eliminate your symptoms.

I know that you feel:

  • Uncomfortable, tired, and maybe even in pain from your symptoms
  • Frustrated because the diets and plans you tried didn’t fully help you get results
  •  Overwhelmed with the information you find online and anxious when you read other peoples’ experiences
  • Disappointed because you’re told that you’re fine, your labs keep coming back “normal,” and you’re just offered medications to mask the symptoms
  • Disheartened because you can’t eat the foods you used to eat and wondering if you’ll ever go back to them and feel normal again
  • Lost because you’re often guessing, and you don’t have a healthcare provider who can answer your questions, give you specific direction and feedback, and help you stay accountable during your journey to healing

I understand exactly what you’re going through. I have helped hundreds of people like you overcome complex health problems, even when other doctors or functional medicine providers couldn’t.

How? By starting with the most important piece of the puzzle, your own unique diet.

Your health is like a tree, and your symptoms are the branches. If you only tend to the branches, you miss the root of the problem. Your gut is the foundation and root of good (or bad) health. You have to uncover and fix the underlying problems so you can stop playing catch up with your symptoms.

To restore your health, you must reduce inflammation and calm down your immune system. Proper digestion, adequate beneficial bacteria, and a healthy gut lining must be present to get results that last. We address all of these when we work together, and that’s what makes my approach comprehensive.

LET’S GET THE RIGHT TESTS DONE, COLLECT THE DATA WE NEED, CONNECT THE DOTS, AND PUT YOU ON THE FASTEST PATH TO GETTING YOUR BODY AND LIFE BACK.

Here’s what one of my clients had to say —

Before working with Nour, I struggled with urgency and diarrhea, constant stomach pain and bloating, and a general feeling of queasiness. Often I would forego my morning gym sessions because of stomach cramps and bathroom breaks. Initially I was worried about the amount of money spent and what the results may be. I was expecting to get some relief, but I wasn’t convinced my symptoms could be cured in a 4 or 5 month period. I was also worried about the amount of dietary restrictions. Having (almost) completed the program, I’m feeling so much better! I no longer have any urgency, stomach cramps, or bloating, and my morning gym routine has returned to normal. I find that I’m more tolerable of foods when I go out to eat, and have no worries about needing to stop often on road trips. My life is completely back to normal after over a year of serious symptoms, and several years of discomfort and bouts of diarrhea after meals out. I look forward to navigating life now with the confidence that my stomach can handle special events. Attempting to treat my problems with OTC medicines and Google would never have resulted in a “diagnosis” — and it certainly wouldn’t be cured! I would especially recommend this program to family and friends because I know it works, 100%.”

What makes working with me different?

YOUR RESULTS ARE MY #1 GOAL AND FOCUS. My program and approach is not for everyone, and I only work with people I’m confident I can help. That’s why we always start with a strategy consultation to map out your own unique plan. I don’t take your time and commitment lightly, and I’m fully dedicated to your success and your health.

YOU’LL START RIGHT AWAY AND HAVE FLEXIBILITY WITH APPOINTMENTS. You don’t have to wait months for the earliest available appointment. I know you’re in pain now and you’re taking a big step when you reach out to me, so I want us to start right away. Appointments are virtual and there’s flexibility with scheduling so our calls don’t add more stress to your life.

THE DIET YOU WILL FOLLOW IS 100% CUSTOMIZED TO YOU. An online search will show you several diet options for digestive issues. Which one should you follow? Which one is better? General gut diets work for some people to some degree, but there are other things that could trigger your symptoms like histamine, chemical sensitivities, oxalate, underlying infections, and your own food sensitivities. If you feel worse on a diet that’s supposed to make you feel better, there’s something else you’re missing. Having itching, eczema, sinus problems, headaches, fatigue, joint pain, bladder pain or something else in addition to your digestive symptoms means a general gut diet won’t be enough. On the other hand, if you try to account for all of the possible triggers, you won’t have any food left to eat! When we work together, I use the result of your food sensitivity test and adjust for the most important possible triggers to put together a list of foods you can start to eat with confidence, without being overly restrictive. I’m not a vegetarian, paleo, AIP, low FODMAPs or any other diet “dietitian.” I don’t subscribe to the notion that one diet is better than all others for everyone. My job is to give you the best plan based on your tests, symptoms, medical history, and your food preferences. As we move forward, we work towards expanding your options by adding back foods, one at a time. Being able to eat a variety of foods long-term means you have more nutrients, a healthier microbiome, and a plan you can easily follow to maintain your results.

YOU’LL HAVE A STEP-BY-STEP, PERSONALIZED GUT HEALING PLAN. One of the big mistakes people make while trying to heal their gut is starting with supplements. They attempt to kill pathogens or bacteria they don’t even know for sure they have. They jump from one thing to another or order multiple tests, thinking that more is better. It gets overwhelming. To get results, you need to have a step by step approach. It’s important to calm down your immune system and reduce the inflammation in your body first. That is why I test for food sensitivities and make sure everything you eat is helping you heal. When it’s time to start repairing your gut, your supplement plan will be based on your specific symptoms and test results. You may have multiple issues going on, and we have to prioritize and address them, one at a time. Everything I recommend is individualized and that’s why my patients tend to feel 80-90% better in just 30 days on the plan.

YOU’RE MORE LIKELY TO SUCCEED BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT FALL OFF THE WAGON. From including the tests you need, to having unlimited access to me, to getting a comprehensive plan that includes testing AND tips with cooking, you’re more likely to get results. We don’t overlook any detail. We also get to discuss stress management and building healthy lifestyle habits that you can continue to follow to prevent relapse.

THE TESTS YOU NEED TO GET RESULTS ARE INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM. You can’t heal your body based on guessing. The food sensitivity test helps me identify the foods triggering your immune system. The stool test is a comprehensive assessment of the health of your gut and allows us to pinpoint the underlying root causes of your symptoms. If I suspect SIBO, I run a 3-hour lactulose SIBO breath test too. Without the right data, we can make the problem worse and waste your time guessing–and you might have done a lot of guessing already and tired of that. These functional medicine tests utilize cutting-edge technologies and provide valid and accurate information that will guide your healing plan. They can’t be replaced with traditional tests or other tests that are being sold to consumers online. Because they guide your healing plan and aren’t usually on your traditional doctors’ radars, I have included them in your program fee so you don’t have to spend more time and energy figuring out testing.

YOU’LL GET HELP WITH THE BIG PICTURE AS WELL AS THE DAILY DETAILS. What I do is very different from traditional dietetics or functional medicine doctors or naturopaths. Many dietitians aren’t trained or have experience in digestive disorders, and the advice you get from them will be too broad. This is especially true if you already eat healthy but you still have symptoms. Functional medicine doctors or naturopaths may help you with testing, but they’re not trained or have experience in modifying your diet and giving you specific tips to apply every day in your kitchen. If anything, they may give you a general elimination diet and tell you to come back in 4 to 6 weeks. When you work with me, you get the best of both worlds. I help you with testing to uncover the underlying root causes AND I help you with meal planning, recipes, food substitutions, and a detailed food and supplement schedule. The best plan and tests are of no use if you can’t apply the information in your day-to-day life.

YOU’RE NOT CHARGED BY THE SESSION OR THE MINUTE. Medical practices bill by the session and some set a timer as the doctor walks into the room. I’ve worked in traditional settings, and I know how stressed medical providers are about seeing a large number of patients in a day for the practice to meet ends. It’s discouraging to make appointments if you don’t get the attention you’re looking for. If you’re seeing an out-of-pocket provider, you typically have to pay for each session (that’s even if you find an appointment). You end up following up less, which can leave you feeling like you’re all on your own. When we work together, I want you to ask as many questions as you need because ultimately, all I want is for you to get results. I don’t count the number of sessions. We set up appointments frequently and you can send me as many messages as you need in between appointments. If you’re facing a difficulty, I want to be able help you overcome it as soon as possible.

YOU’LL SAVE TIME, MONEY, AND ENERGY. Before working with me, many of my patients have spent so much time, money and energy visiting multiple doctors without getting answers. They’ve done procedures that didn’t work or tests that didn’t give them useful information. They may have spent money ordering tests on their own without knowing if they even provide valid results or how to interpret them. Or they may have dabbled with supplements without knowing if they are what they really need and without knowing the effective dose. I’ve been helping patients like you for years. I know which tests to order, how to interpret them, and what foods and supplements to recommend. No shooting darts in the air. When you work with me, you’re investing in your health and it will eventually save you time, money, and energy AND get you results and your life back. You’re worth it.

HOW my process
WORKS

WHEN WORKING WITH ME, HERE’S WHAT THE PROCESS INVOLVES:

Step 1

We start with a strategy consultation by phone (sometimes I refer to it as your first call) to talk about the symptoms or conditions you’re seeking help with. We discuss what you have already tried, and what’s been stopping you from getting the results you want. If I believe I can help you and you’re a good fit for my program, you will have the opportunity to sign up immediately on the phone. We map out the big picture of your journey, and I’ll answer any questions you have. Most of my patients start with the food sensitivity test, and we order the test right away so we can get you started as soon as possible. Click here to book your first call. You’ll need to answer some questions first and then schedule a time on my calendar. If we determine that working together is not a good fit, I’ll do my best to suggest a different route or provide resources.

Step 2

My program is 4 months long, and it starts with your first full session, which is 10-14 days after the strategy call. This is usually the time it takes for you to receive your food sensitivity test kit, get the blood draw done, and receive the results. Meanwhile, you can complete assessment forms and gather lab results or other tests you’ve done in the past. I will review all the information you provide so I can connect the dots with the new data we’re getting. Also, while you wait for your test result, I’ll suggest a simple introductory diet to try to ease some of your symptoms. In your first full session, we’ll create your own personalized food plan that will help reduce inflammation, calm the immune system, and support digestion. I will give you meal and snack ideas, recipes, and suggestions for specific products that fit your plan.

Step 3

You follow your initial plan (phase 1) for 10-12 days and we meet right at the end of it. Most of my patients report at least 50% reduction in their symptoms in just this short period of time. In the second session, I’ll review your food and symptoms log and give you specific instructions on how to start introducing more foods. You’ll know exactly what you have to do so you can proceed with confidence and clarity. During this time, and throughout the 4 months we’re working together, you can ask me as many questions as you need using messages. I offer that because ultimately, my goal is helping you follow the plan so you can get results.

Step 4

Moving forward, we usually meet every other week to continue to add new foods and build on your plan. One of the reasons you will feel amazing in the first month is because we focus on your unique food plan. My patients report improvement in bowel movements and significantly less (or no) gas, bloating, heartburn, stomach pain, headaches, or skin issues. They have better energy, mental focus, and sleep. Since I track their symptoms, most report 70-90% improvement in the first month, and the remaining symptoms improve as we dive into the root causes. By the 3rd or 4th session (the second month), your body and immune system have calmed down, and your stool test result and any other test we decided to run are back. I’ll go over the results in detail and create a step-by-step plan that will correct the imbalances. You will get specific product recommendations with doses and a schedule so you know exactly what to do. Your plan is 100% unique to you and you’ll be confident you’re not wasting your time or money on things you don’t need.

Step 5

Healing takes time. You’ve probably been dealing with your symptoms for months, if not years, and it’s important to be patient with your body. We’ll be working on your own unique gut repair plan that depends on the issues we uncover. I often use products like probiotics, digestive enzymes, herbals, vitamins, minerals, or others as needed. There’s science to this madness! Not every product you find online is good for you, and some may even cause harm. I use protocols I learned through professional training and certifications, and I build on the experiences I had from working with my previous patients. During our time together, we monitor your body’s response and tweak the plan when needed, and that’s why it’s important to meet on a regular basis.

Step 6

I want to help you achieve the goals you set for yourself. By the end of the 4 months, I anticipate that you’ll be mostly symptom-free or at least have made a major transformation in your health. It’s impossible to guarantee 100% results at 4 months for everyone because each person is different and has different medical history and complications. During our last session or two, we start to discuss long-term plans. You will have already learned so much about nutrition, gut health, meal planning, stress management, how to introduce new foods or supplements, what suits your body best, and how amazing your body could feel. I do my best to give you a plan to follow on your own for the following months. If you would like to have my regular support, feedback, and accountability, we can continue to work together by meeting on a monthly or quarterly basis. We may discuss additional tests that can address other aspects of your health or we may consider retesting to make sure the issues we were working on are resolved. Most of my patients feel confident to proceed on their own. Some patients with multiple conditions or those who have had their symptoms for a very long time may need to continue for a few more months together. My goal is to have you “graduate” from my program in 4 months, but I’ll be here for you if you need me longer.

You could keep trying to figure it out alone, not get the results you want, feel overwhelmed and frustrated, and continue to suffer from your pain and discomfort.

Or you can work with me and be confident that the foods you’re choosing are exactly the right ones for you, get a customized plan that has worked for hundreds of people like you, experience results much faster, eliminate your symptoms, have more energy, be heard and understood, and feel like a new person from the inside out.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I help people who have:

  • All digestive conditions, such as acid reflux, heartburn, silent reflux (or LPR), excessive burping, stomach pain, bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation, IBS, SIBO, Crohn’s disease, colitis, and celiac disease
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimoto’s, psoriasis, or others
  • Thyroid imbalances
  • Migraines and headaches
  • Muscle and joint pain, fibromyalgia
  • Skin issues like eczema, itching, rosacea, hives and others
  • Food sensitivities and/or allergy
  • Something unknown, you don’t feel like yourself and your doctors can’t find answers or solutions

Some of my patients have co-existing conditions like high blood sugar, blood pressure, high cholesterol, PCOS or others, and these will be taken into consideration at every step of your plan.

If you’re looking for help with calorie counting or portion control, this is not the right program for you. But if you’re interested in a holistic long-term anti-inflammatory approach that will address food sensitivities and gut imbalances as root causes for your weight and water retention, we should definitely talk. My patients who want to lose weight tend to drop 10-25 lbs in 4 months because they eat the foods that calm their bodies down. They feel physically and emotionally lighter. They’re able to work out again (or start) because they have more energy, less pain, and fewer interruptions from stomach issues.

Half of my patients are underweight or can’t afford to lose more weight. The reality is, diets for healing digestive disorders can be limiting and lead to more weight loss. That’s why you shouldn’t try to do it on your own. If you need to maintain or gain weight, we will make sure you have enough calorie-dense foods, snacks, and meals, and I’ll help you with timing your meals and what to eat on-the-go so you don’t skimp on your calories. Many of my patients end up putting on healthy weight eventually because their gut is finally digesting and absorbing all the nutrients in their meals.

My patients often need dietary supplements because it’s difficult to get specific nutrients from food alone in therapeutic doses to get results. I will recommend specific products and customize your plan to your needs. After helping hundreds of clients, I know which ones give the best results and which ones have the least amount of fillers, preservatives, and allergens. I recommend top quality medical grade products and I’ll provide you with details on doses and how to take them so you feel completely guided and supported. I will continue to assess your supplements needs and add or wean off products during our time together.

There isn’t a specific number of sessions attached to the program. We will set goals (like a list of new foods to add to your diet) and make sure you have enough time in between sessions to take action and report changes. Usually, I will meet with you every 2 weeks. In between sessions, you have unlimited email access to me through messages. If you’re facing a hurdle or difficulty, we can jump on a phone call anytime to help you overcome it.

I’m not a physician. If you ask me things that are outside my scope of practice, I will clearly communicate that. While I can’t replace your doctor, most of my patients feel that they have not received the care or help they’re looking for from their doctors and are looking for another approach. Working with me fills in the gaps and addresses food and gut healing–things that your doctors aren’t looking at. If you’re already working with a doctor, we can discuss in the strategy session to coordinate care. Your primary care doctor can order basic labs like blood sugar, thyroid assessment, or certain vitamins. If I run a test and find something that needs a medical intervention or referral, I will encourage you to seek advice from your doctor or see a specialist.

I use specialized functional medicine and nutrition tests that aren’t typically used in conventional medical practices or covered by insurance. Your conventional primary care doctor or specialist probably doesn’t know about or use these tests, and most likely will not order them for you. My patients often say they’ve had tests done prior to working with me that either came back “normal” or offered very little information and no direction for therapy. I don’t want you to waste time going back and forth between your doctor and health insurance, and I don’t want you to waste time and money on tests that will not help. If you have results from a colonoscopy, endoscopy, celiac panel, thyroid, IgG sensitivity, or IgE allergy test, I’d like to see those as part of my assessment. If you plan to work with me and haven’t had blood work done in the last year, wait until we start. Many doctors skip several important labs, and I’d like to give you a list of labs to ask your doctor to order.

Functional medicine doctors and naturopaths can help you get functional medicine tests done, and they can prescribe medications or supplements. However, they will not address or customize the diet the way I do. They are often not as trained in therapeutic diets and usually don’t have the time to go over specific details, food substitutions, recipes, etc. They may give you a diet to follow, but it’s often still general and may be even more restrictive than necessary. The foundation of functional medicine is an anti-inflammatory diet and personalized care. If this is what you’re looking for, you will get that when we work together.

My program, Eat to Thrive, is 4 months long. This is the minimum time I need to make sure you’re on the right path for healing your gut. It doesn’t mean you’ll wait 4 months to feel better. You can expect a big difference in how you feel in the first 10-30 days. The first thing to do to get started is to book a Strategy consultation (first call by phone). If I believe I can help you and that you’re a good fit for my program, I’ll share my big picture plan for you and ask you to make a decision. I’m a believer in taking action and not letting hesitation stop you from healing. The sooner you make the decision, the sooner we start. Most people can typically start within 1 – 2 weeks, unless there’s a waitlist or if I’m not accepting new patients at the time you contact me.

If you’re still struggling with your symptoms and your doctors can’t find answers, it’s very likely that your diet is part of the solution. That’s what you’re coming to see me for! I’ll give you a personalized list of foods to eat and others to avoid based on your tests, symptoms, medical history, or anything else I find during our sessions. You will have to give up certain foods for a few months, but only so we can fix your problem. As you progress with the program, I’ll give you a plan to introduce them back again. If you have a medical condition that requires you to avoid certain foods long-term (like celiac disease), I can’t really change that, but I’ll help you with alternatives so you can nourish our body and enjoy a variety of other options.

My program is not covered by insurance. You will get so much more than what insurance allows or deems “billable” or “necessary.” You can use your HSA or FSA card to pay for the program and there’s a payment plan option. I can also provide a superbill if you would like to try to get some reimbursement. You can’t put a price on your health and on being able to eat and function without pain, discomfort, or worry. My program will save you time and money in the long run. With tests being included and receiving unlimited care and attention throughout my program, you can anticipate to invest a few thousand dollars in your health when you sign up to work with me.

My program is 100% virtual and I’ve worked with patients all over the US. We meet through Zoom video calls so you don’t have to worry about driving or taking time away from work or your family. My patient portal software is HIPAA compliant, you’ll use it to message me, upload your labs, and see your session notes and plans. All you need is an Internet connection and your computer (or tablet). For the tests, we send the kits to your address and provide you with instructions on how to collect samples at home. The food sensitivity test requires a blood draw and we help you find a lab near you to get it done.

I’ve worked with international patients in Europe, the Middle East, and the Far East. We can’t run the food sensitivity test so we’ll have to address the diet differently. I can order the stool and SIBO tests, among others. Some countries have restrictions on testing, so please reach out to me first before booking a strategy session.
