Testimonials

I no longer have urgency, stomach cramps, or bloating. My morning gym routine has returned to normal. I tolerate food when I go out, and have no worries about needing to stop often on road trips. My life is completely back to normal after several years of discomfort and bouts of diarrhea after meals out.

Nour is accessible, extremely knowledgeable in this field, she has a real passion for healing the gut and diet. Other functional and integrative practitioners may do a similar protocol but they won't always have the diet component which I feel is important for calming down symptoms.

I used to struggle with frequent heartburn, IBS symptoms, throat & mouth tightness sensation. Now, I have reduced to non-existent reflux, less hoarseness in throat, and nearly non-existent IBS symptoms. I liked that the program was catered specifically to my needs.
Ron S.
Before, I was obsessed with what to eat and my life was just about managing symptoms. Now, I am able to go out and socialize more without worrying about the food. I have developed a healthy routine and lifestyle. Turns out I can actually tolerate most of the foods I had eliminated due to fear and I now understand the root cause of what is happening in my gut and that it can be fixed with proper care and the right lifestyle and nutrition.
Prajna S.
Nour really listens and wants to make changes that you can tolerate physically and emotionally. This is not a one size fits all program. You are treated as an individual with unique problems and Nour has an expansive knowledge and is constantly educating herself so she is up to date with what works for different individuals.

I had a miserable existence. I was extremely bloated and constipated, and felt like I couldn’t eat anything. It was recommended that I see a gastroenterologist at John Hopkins—or Nour. I went online and liked her approach and credentials. Now I feel great, She really listened to me, gave clear instructions, and was patient. Her thorough knowledge and treatment strategies were impressive and effective.

Frequently Asked Questions

How soon can I get started?

The first step is to book an Assessment & Strategy Session, usually available within 1-2 weeks. You can enroll in the program the same day of your call, and many people do so by the end of it. Test kits get ordered right away and arrive at your door in 4-5 business days. The program starts when we have your food sensitivity test result, which takes about 4-5 days from the day you collect the sample. While you wait, you’ll have immediate access to my extensive library of content and you can start an introductory diet or start practicing some lifestyle strategies that will help your gut and nervous system. Please note that I don’t accept new clients from June until August and only work with my existing clients during the summer months. If you have a trip or a major event coming up and would like to delay your start date, that’s not a problem. Let me know on the call and we’ll plan a timeline that takes your event into consideration.

The coaching portion of the program is 4 months long. It officially starts when we meet to discuss your food sensitivity test result, which is usually 10-14 days after your Assessment & Strategy Session. Follow-up sessions are usually booked every 2-3 weeks depending on the goals we set for that portion of the program. If you need help or feedback in between sessions, you have access to me through a private one-on-one chat using my online client portal.

Part of your program is lifelong access to my exclusive learning library where I share a collection of recorded and written teachings related to digestive health, specific conditions or diagnosis, lifestyle strategies, and more. You can come back and review this material any time in the future, and you’ll have access to any updates or additions that we make.
Every client gets a food sensitivity test and a comprehensive stool test as part of the program. Depending on your symptoms, I may add a SIBO breath test, a urine mycotoxin test, or a urine hormone test, and we’ll determine that during the Assessment and Strategy session. These are specialized functional medicine tests that conventional doctors don’t typically order or are familiar with, and they’re typically not covered by insurance. The food sensitivity test is mediator-based and the stool test is microbial DNA-based. Some doctors order IgG food sensitivity tests, but they’re not helpful because they miss 50% of food immune reactions and their findings don’t often correlate with symptoms or inflammatory responses. Not all stool tests capture a comprehensive picture of the gut due to limited markers or common false negatives. The tests I use have helped hundreds of clients get results over the last 10+ years, and I want to make sure you have the same success rate when we work together. If you’ve had advanced functional medicine tests in the past, we can discuss them during the strategy session.

I encourage you to get regular bloodwork through your doctor. This includes basic labs like a CBC, CMP, vitamin D, thyroid screening, etc. If you’re considering working with me, don’t rush to book an appointment with your doctor to get labs. After you enroll and upload your previous labs, I’ll review them and let you know if there’s anything missing or which labs you need to ask for.
Yes, but only temporarily. You’re likely eating things that are making your symptoms worse, and these could be foods that are generally considered healthy. You may have a food sensitivity to certain foods (we’ll know in your test results), and some foods contribute to symptoms due to histamine, fiber, oxalate, acidity, and/or other reasons. We’ll determine the safest-for-you foods to start with, and then we’ll expand your options and add more foods to this list slowly, starting from the second week on the program. You’ll follow a balanced plan that includes foods from all food groups, unless you prefer or need a specific ratio of macronutrients. By the end of the program, you’ll be able to eat most of the foods that you once couldn’t tolerate, without getting symptoms.
Half the people I work with are underweight as a result of their digestive or inflammatory problem and from not being able to eat enough. These clients are able to gain healthy weight and muscle slowly and steadily as we improve digestion and alleviate the pain and discomfort. The other half of my clients are overweight and would like to lose weight in the gut healing process. These clients often have inflammation, hormone imbalances, sugar cravings, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, brain fog, trouble sleeping, or other issues that contribute to stress, holding on to extra weight and fat, and not being able to exercise like they want to.

Whether you lose weight or not will depend on your symptoms, medical situation, and your goals. If that’s important to you, we can discuss it during the Assessment & Strategy Session and ensure our work together helps you reach a healthy weight that is right for you.
We’ll be using nutrition and botanical supplements to help you reach your goals. When I put together a protocol, I’ll recommend specific products along with dosing, the time in the day to take them, with or without food, combinations to take together, and the duration. I try to organize it for you so it’s easier to follow. I can’t predict the number of products ahead of time as this will depend on your test findings, but you’ll know why each products is needed, and many are only used for 4-8 weeks. Towards the end of the program, we’ll start to wean off and discuss what you need to take long-term to maintain your results.

As a functional registered dietitian, I don’t prescribe medications. But if you’re working with a doctor and you have to take certain presciprdtions or would like to try a pharmaceutical route to your gut problems, I can help you integrate these in our plan.
You don’t know all the ingredients that go into a meal that you buy from a restaurant. To get the results you want, you need to make all your meals for the first month at minimum. We then slowly try to add outside food if desired, depending on your progress. Throughout the program, I’ll help you with meal and snack ideas, recipes, ready products that you can use, cooking in batches or over the weekend, and other things to get organized and make the process easier. Remember that you’re making a short-term compromise to reverse months and years of gut damage and gain lasting results. Most people learn how to make new foods and appreciate the time they take to nourish their bodies and heal. By the end of the program, you’ll be able to eat out, travel, and socialize with family and friends without food restrictions.

Most of my clients reduce symptoms by 50% or more in just the first 10 days on the plan. That’s because they follow their personalized, anti-inflammatory, immune calming diet and we take all their symptoms and diagnosis into consideration. By the end of the first month, most of my clients report 70-80% improvement in digestive and full body symptoms like energy, sleep, mood, mental focus, skin, muscles and joints, and more. We spend the remaining 3 months reversing the underlying problems with supplement protocols and then setting up a plan for maintenance.

My programs is 100% virtual and I work with people in all US states and Canada. I’ve worked with people in Europe and Middle Eastern countries before with some restrictions on some tests. Please contact us before you book your Assessment & Strategy Session to check availability in your country.

The program is not covered by insurance and we’re not in-network with any insurance plans. You can use a credit or debit card to pay for the program, and there’s a payment plan option. As a healthcare practice, we can accept HSA or FSA cards, and we can also provide superbills with medical codes (CPT and ICD-10 codes) if that helps you get some reimbursement through out-of-network benefits. My one-on-one coaching program, which includes the tests, unlimited support, supplement discount, and lifelong access to resources, is a $5,000 investment. It’s a long-term investment in your health and will save you from wasting time, energy, and money on things that may not work or may harm your body. I take your investment and commitment seriously and work hard to help you get the results you want.
The purpose of the Assessment & Strategy Session is to make sure you’re a good candidate for my program. I’ve helped hundreds of clients over 10+ years overcome a variety of digestive complaints and other conditions that stem from the gut. The focus and specialty of my practice is digestive health, and every training I attend revolves around overcoming stubborn digestive (and gut-rooted) conditions. My learning never stops as I attend functional medicine conferences regularly and have access to great mentors. As a dietitian and coach, my goal is not to get more clients, but to help the right clients. If after our discussion I believe working together is not a good fit, I’ll share resources or suggest things to pursue that would get you better results than working with me.

People and conditions that would not be a good fit include eating disorders, advanced kidney disease, women who are currently pregnant or nursing (we can work together after you stop breastfeeding), or people who travel or eat out a lot and not willing to make diet changes.
