What makes working with me different?
- Get started fast: Assessment sessions are usually available on a rolling basis. When you sign up for my program, your test kits will arrive at your doorstep in 4-5 business days. No delays with scheduling. doctors’ orders, or insurance approval.
- Get high-quality testing: People often waste money on tests sold directly to consumers that don’t check for useful or comprehensive markers. Every patient gets a reliable food sensitivity test and a comprehensive stool test so we have the data we need to avoid guessing.
- Focus on food first: Conventional and functional medicine providers often talk about anti-inflammatory diets, but many still just offer general food advice. The first and foundation step in my program is creating your personalized food plan based on your food sensitivities, symptoms, and underlying root causes. Eat with confidence, not guesses.
- Follow an incremental, step-by-step plan: Many providers start with protocols to eliminate the bad microbes without addressing food, digestion, immune health, inflammation, or stress. As a result, patients feel worse or have incomplete results. Certain things must be prioritized to fully and smoothly reverse the underlying root causes.
- Stay organized: Food and supplement plans can be overwhelming. You’ll get a clear food list, recipe suggestions, products to buy, and specific supplement recommendations with dosing and a schedule to stay organized.
- Work directly with me: Get private, frequent, one-on-one coaching from me through virtual sessions and private chat. You don’t need to attend group calls or solve problems on your own.
- Overcome stubborn problems: My gut-focused training and 10+ years of experience helping hundreds of people with stubborn digestive conditions means I’ve likely helped someone like you before. I’ve seen it all.
- Monitor your progress and overcome hurdles fast: When repairing the gut, people often take two steps forward and one step backward. You’ll overcome hurdles faster and get better results when you have timely answers to questions and can tweak the plan if needed.
- Heal in a low-stress, judgement-free space: Gut inflammation can lead to emotional and cognitive issues like anxiety and mood swings. My program offers flexible virtual sessions and incorporates nervous system regulation tools. I do my best to meet you where you are and create a safe space to heal.
- Get high level planning and also cover the details: My training in functional medicine and specific digestive and inflammatory diseases allows me to interpret labs, connect symptoms, and write supplement protocols. My background as a dietitian means I have many recipes, meal planning tips, food substitutions, and creative cooking ideas to share. You get support on both theoretical and practical aspects of the healing process.
How my process works
- Step 1: Book an Assessment & Strategy Session: We’ll discuss your health goals, what you have tried, and what has stopped you from getting results in the past. If you’re a good candidate for my program, we’ll map out the big picture, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and sign up on the phone. Click HERE to book your Assessment & Strategy Session.
- Step 2: Send test samples: Test kits will arrive at your home in 4-5 business days. You’ll collect the samples, upload any previous labs, and start some foundation practices like breathing or simple diet changes while we wait for your results. The food sensitivity test result will be ready in 1 week, and that’s when we’ll have our first appointment and kick off the 4-month coaching program.
- Step 3: Focus on food first: In the first appointment, we’ll determine your personalized Phase 1 food list, and you’ll have some recipes and meal and snack ideas to incorporate. You’ll follow this plan for 10-12 days, and then we’ll have our second session. Most clients report at least 50% reduction in their symptoms after this short period of time. I’ll review your food and symptoms log and give you specific instructions on how to start introducing more foods. If we have the remaining test results, we’ll start to incorporate their findings.
- Step 4: Start to address the underlying problem: After 3-4 weeks on the program, my clients usually report significant (~70%) reduction in digestive complaints, as well as improvement in energy, mental clarity, sinus issues, and others. At this point, you’ve already expanded your diet and it’s time to start addressing the root causes. We have your test results and we’ll build your personalized supplement protocol. You’ll get instructions on how to introduce products and monitor progress.
- Step 5: Allow your body to heal: Over the next 3 months, you’ll follow your supplement protocol and continue to reintroduce more foods. You’ll have regular appointments and private chat support. We’ll monitor your progress, rotate supplements, discuss brain-gut connections and nervous system regulation, integrate breathing and lifestyle strategies for stress reduction, or whatever you need to get those amazing results. This is the time to be patient with your body so it can reverse months or even years of inflammation.
- Step 6: Enjoy and maintain the results: By the 4th month, you’ll be mostly symptom-free. You’ll have a solid understanding of how food impacts your gut and overall health, and you’ll be able to eat out with family and friends. We’ll discuss your maintenance plan so you can continue to support your gut and enjoy your results. You have life-long access to my library of resources on meal planning, stress management, digestive health, condition-specific protocols, and other topics that you can always go back to and review.
- Step 7: Get additional support if needed: After the 4 months, most of my clients are able to apply everything they learned on their own. I want you to “graduate” and be in control of your own health. Some people, however, need more support from me. If you’ve been dealing with your health problems for many years, your tests uncover many underlying root causes that need more time, or you simply like to have quarterly or yearly check-ins, I’m available to support you further.
You could keep trying to fix your problem alone, waste time and money on things that may not help, get frustrated, and continue to suffer from the pain and discomfort...
Or you can have a clear and personalized plan, designed through a framework that has helped hundreds of people like you before, so you can heal, live life fully, and eat with confidence.
This program may be the solution you’ve been searching for all along.
Frequently Asked Questions
How soon can I get started?
The first step is to book an Assessment & Strategy Session, usually available within 1-2 weeks. You can enroll in the program the same day of your call, and many people do so by the end of it. Test kits get ordered right away and arrive at your door in 4-5 business days. The program starts when we have your food sensitivity test result, which takes about 4-5 days from the day you collect the sample. While you wait, you’ll have immediate access to my extensive library of content and you can start an introductory diet or start practicing some lifestyle strategies that will help your gut and nervous system. Please note that I don’t accept new clients from June until August and only work with my existing clients during the summer months. If you have a trip or a major event coming up and would like to delay your start date, that’s not a problem. Let me know on the call and we’ll plan a timeline that takes your event into consideration.
How long is your program and how many sessions does it include?
Part of your program is lifelong access to my exclusive learning library where I share a collection of recorded and written teachings related to digestive health, specific conditions or diagnosis, lifestyle strategies, and more. You can come back and review this material any time in the future, and you’ll have access to any updates or additions that we make.
Which tests are included? Can’t my doctor just order tests for me?
I encourage you to get regular bloodwork through your doctor. This includes basic labs like a CBC, CMP, vitamin D, thyroid screening, etc. If you’re considering working with me, don’t rush to book an appointment with your doctor to get labs. After you enroll and upload your previous labs, I’ll review them and let you know if there’s anything missing or which labs you need to ask for.
Do I have to give up certain foods on your program?
Will I lose weight on your program?
Whether you lose weight or not will depend on your symptoms, medical situation, and your goals. If that’s important to you, we can discuss it during the Assessment & Strategy Session and ensure our work together helps you reach a healthy weight that is right for you.
Will I be taking supplements or medications?
As a functional registered dietitian, I don’t prescribe medications. But if you’re working with a doctor and you have to take certain presciprdtions or would like to try a pharmaceutical route to your gut problems, I can help you integrate these in our plan.
Does the program require a lot of cooking and meal planning?
How quickly should I expect to see results?
Most of my clients reduce symptoms by 50% or more in just the first 10 days on the plan. That’s because they follow their personalized, anti-inflammatory, immune calming diet and we take all their symptoms and diagnosis into consideration. By the end of the first month, most of my clients report 70-80% improvement in digestive and full body symptoms like energy, sleep, mood, mental focus, skin, muscles and joints, and more. We spend the remaining 3 months reversing the underlying problems with supplement protocols and then setting up a plan for maintenance.
Where’s your office? Do you work with people in other countries?
My programs is 100% virtual and I work with people in all US states and Canada. I’ve worked with people in Europe and Middle Eastern countries before with some restrictions on some tests. Please contact us before you book your Assessment & Strategy Session to check availability in your country.
Can I use my insurance? How much does the program cost?
Are you sure you can help me?
People and conditions that would not be a good fit include eating disorders, advanced kidney disease, women who are currently pregnant or nursing (we can work together after you stop breastfeeding), or people who travel or eat out a lot and not willing to make diet changes.
