Don’t Lose Hope or Settle for Less: And Here’s Why

Don’t Lose Hope or Settle for Less when it Comes to Your Health. Episode 14 of Thank Gut It’s Fixed Show

(if you like this episode, like it on Facebook, share it, tag a friend, and/or write me a comment!)

In this episode, I’m sharing some of the frustrations that some of my clients and people I talk with tell me about their health.

Some of them are told it’s in their head, that they are crazy or hypochondriac.

Some of them are told it’s normal to have acid reflux and heartburn, and that EVERYONE has it.

They are told that they are fine and that their labs are normal.

But in their gut, they don’t feel right or normal. They’re off. They are not the person they used to be. Or… maybe the never knew or experience what feeling GOOD and AMAZING and VIBRANT feels like…

One of my patients who just started the food sensitivity plan came back after 1 week only. She said that she didn’t realize how bad, tired, or foggy she was feeling. She didn’t realize how badly her joints and muscles hurt, until she experienced an improvement.

They are told to just get up and move, just be positive, just eat healthy, just this, just that…

But their body is not responding. And often, their mind isn’t either.

As a functional and integrative dietitian specializing in gut health and digestive disorders, I often see improvement in mental health when we fix the gut. Numerous research is linking anxiety to gut dysbiosis (more on that for another episode).

But for today, if you’re still reading this or watching the video, I want to take an action. Do something. Don’t lose hope or give up. And don’t settle for less when it comes to your health.

Because you live once in one and only body. Don’t live dragging or in pain.

If you need more hope and inspiration, you can read the success stories that some of my patients shared (many many thanks to them for taking the time to write!)

Take an action… if you haven’t see your primary care doctor, book an appointment. Ask them to be thorough. Book and appointment with a specialist if you need. And if they both run labs and tests and tell you that you’re fine, and deep down, you know you’re not, let’s talk.

This is the classic scenario of the people I help. None of their health care professionals took a real deep look into their nutrition and how food can be affecting their body and causing inflammation.

Nour’s guidance and expertise was the key to dramatically halting our son’s [Crohn’s] disease progression! His pediatric gastroenterologist is now in agreement of our choice to treat solely with diet and supplements. All his labs have improved and his inflammatory markers are so low they are practically nonexistent.

Before working with Nour, I experienced intestinal pain off and on for for 54 years with minimal success on medications. I have benefited 100% from Nour’s program as I am now pain free!

A lot of time and money was wasted on foods that I thought would help my digestive struggles [diarrhea, bloating, hunger], but in fact I was making it worse. The main benefit is getting a handle on what negatively affects my digestive symptom. Doing a total 180 to my eating habits has been pretty amazing.
